There is a ton of different ways that you might be familiar with Arthur Becker. Becker is a famous for his high profile marriage to the fashion designer Vera Wang. He has also accomplished more than most while working as an investor in a variety of different industries: technology, bio tech, ancient currency, real estate and even his own inventions. Becker’s story is interesting to tell but it is still ongoing as he takes up the mantle of Managing Partner at Madison Partners LLC where his company will focus on both real estate and bio tech developments. More details can be found on Ideamensch.

To really appreciate what Becker is doing now you have to look at where he came from. Becker graduated from Bennington College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts before moving on to Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business. Becker would move on from his schooling to become a stockbroker, working for Bear Stearns inc. He went from stockbroker to big wig investor by the early ’90s when he established his first company: Bnox, Inc. This company was focused on developing proprietary technology for optical usage on the camera market and his products would end up in pretty much every major American retail chain. Still, Becker’s best work was yet to come and it wouldn’t get there until the early ’00s.

In a report by Huffington Post, Becker founded Atlantic Investors before moving on to NaviSite, a publicly traded business that sold IT services, hosting, and colocation all throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. After selling NaviSite in 2011, Becker was ready to fully jump into the world of real estate. Becker went ahead and bought his first properties in two very different markets: New York City and Miami, Florida. Becker’s first taste of real estate investing proved to be effective and he set up shop in New York under the Madison Partners, LLC.

Now Becker and his company are looking for and establishing real estate and bio tech developments throughout New York City. He already has works developing in Soho and Tribeca and we are sure that there are a great many more coming down the pipeline.
