Sweetgreen is a relatively new venture, which has since its inception been offering surprisingly healthy food. Noticeably, the brand aside from taking great note of the health of its consumers, it has efficiently incorporated tastiness in its foodstuffs, which are reasonably priced. Sweetgreen ensures its customers of specialized satisfaction, as it is not like just any other lunch salad, which after consumption one would get hungry in less than an hour. For relatively the same price as fries or a burger, one can otherwise enjoy eating nourishing food.

The immensely growing venture started in 2007 with a store in Washington, DC. However, due to the increasingly growing profile of the Sweetgreen brand, the firm has expanded its venture into more than forty cities in California and New York. Sweetgreen features some exclusive shops in Chicago and Boston. According to Nathaniel Ru, Sweetgreen’s co-founder, the timing of opening stores has always been crucial in their expansion plan. How the venture enters into a market significantly translates to the number of stores they will be able to operate.

Nathaniel Ru, one of the great minds behind the immense success of Sweetgreen, attributed their expansion and success to their uniquely special service design. The service design entails the culmination of storytelling, technology as well as the design itself. This, in turn, has led to Sweetgreen selling their products to a unique, personalized and consistently satisfying service to individual clients.

On visiting any of the Sweetgreen’s outlets, one cannot help but notice their open kitchen. This mode of the kitchen gives the client a good opportunity to see the naturally grown ingredients, the kitchen as well as the clean, healthy process behind it. Sweetgreen makes everything including their dressing and other products on a daily basis from scratch from the produce, which is delivered to then each morning. In-store ordering is time conscious and efficient as a client only takes a maximum of 15 minutes in line.

Nathaniel Ru went to the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown in 2007 and graduated with a BS in Finance. At Sweetgreen, Inc., a firm he co-founded with his two other friends, is the Co-Chief Executive Officer, where he is also the Director. Leveraging his extensive expertise and experience, Nathaniel Ru, together with his two co-founders, have propagated the speedy growth and success of the firm. Sweetgreen has developed from just being a one-shop store to a lengthy chain of restaurants in areas including, but not limited to, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
